A man rescues a scared cat found on a roadway

A call of a lone cat stuck in the middle of New York City’s Grand Central Parkway recently reached John Debacker. Due to the dense traffic in the lanes on each side of the cat, he had to move quickly. She was more inclined to flee the longer he waited to get there.

He knew what to do next because he was an expert cat rescuer. He immediately rushed to the scene after making a backup call to his buddy Karenlynn Stracher. As soon as he arrived, he noticed the cat struggling on the median in the middle of the road.

Stracher accompanied Debacker as he approached the cat. They had to gently approach the cat instead of acting hastily to save it. The two cautiously made their way along the center median to find her as the passing automobiles passed them. Debacker attempted to capture her with a blanket, but the astute cat detected it and sprinted away. She moved between two lanes of moving traffic in the eastern direction as she crossed them. However, she was hit in the third lane. Debacker had to move quickly at that point, so he raced over to the cat and grabbed her by the hands. They quickly placed her in the cage as Stracher recovered their trap on the opposite side.

Debacker thought she was a miraculous cat because she had no obvious wounds despite all the dangers she had to endure. He gave her the name Miracle.

Debacker hurried to the emergency vet clinic so that she might receive a complete medical examination. She was almost in flawless shape, as he had anticipated. He even remembered to check her for a microchip, which, fortunately, she had.

From where she was discovered, it was a mile distant. Finally, her parents could be reunited with her. They were allowed to reconcile as soon as her doctor gave the all-clear. She was discovered in the middle of a busy road and went by the name Flamingo.
The family is incredibly appreciative of Debacker for saving her. He now receives updates from the family along with photos of Flamingo. She feels at last comfortable at her parents’ house.

Debacker is also appreciative of the motorists who let him stop and rescue the cat. This shows how many people still have compassion for helpless creatures.
