This is heartwarming…!!! But happy ending!
He is an exquisite creature! Grateful to have been saved and given a sanctuary to live in.
After his harrowing escape, he deserves a happy life.
A longhorn that spent Thursday roaming free on train lines between New Jersey and New York will now have a peaceful place to live out his days at a sanctuary.
The following message was posted by NJ Transit on X Friday morning: “Our showstopper bull, Ricardo is safe at his new home, Skylands Animal Sanctuary.”
Following its recovery, the sanctuary uploaded a picture and a video of the longhorn waking up from his tranquilizer without delay.
President and founder of Skylands Animal Sanctuary Mike Stura stated: “He’s had a long, hard day of fighting for his life, and fortunately it has paid off.” Our veterinarian has already examined him, so perhaps he won’t be too long standing. Take a peek at his good looks.
It is Stura’s belief that the longhorn escaped from a slaughterhouse, as he informed “The National Desk.”
Located in Wantage, on 232 acres, Skylands Animal Sanctuary is home to nearly 400 animals.
What a lovely creature… They are extremely intelligent and joyful, and he will be living his finest life in a tranquil haven!
I’m so happy he found a peaceful place to call home forever.
I hope he has a peaceful and happy life!!!
