In order to provide shelter for endangered species like rhinos, zebras, elephants, and other vulnerable creatures, organizations like Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage are essential. One of these priceless residents was Ellie, a darling baby animal who, like many others, regrettably lost contact with her parents at a young age.
These orphanages provide safe havens where these helpless animals may get the love, care, and security they require in order to flourish in spite of the difficulties they encounter in the wild.
Ellie had several health issues from birth, which significantly reduced his chances of surviving. Workers took him to a refuge, where they cared for Ellie and fed him for days on end until his health began to improve!
Even after Ellie’s health returned, he was still a gloomy and lifeless youngster, since elephants are very social animals who normally cannot survive outside of their group. When staff members saw the elephant’s state, they made an effort to provide him some comfort by pairing him with German Shepherd sniffer dog Duma, a former service dog.
This heartwarming video demonstrates Duma’s support for Ellie, a K9 who faced adversity and maintained a classic Southern country stride. Ellie began to long for life in Duma’s kind and caring embrace. Even though Ellie still has a long way to go before he fully recovers, having Duma by his side makes the journey feel less lonely!
